HOUSE OF SLATER UPDATE 14/5/10

An update for everyone regarding my clothing line the 'House of Slater'.

These past few months work on the line has been sporadic, I am coming to the end of my A Levels so you can guess I have been very busy completing coursework and getting prepared/studying for my exams. In my spare time I have been doing as much work on the line as I have been able too.

The other reason I have delayed the launch is because I have been working hard on improving the quality of my pieces. I am not a natural seamer but I am working on improving my skills to a professional level. I have some great designs and I am really exited to share them with you and open up my shop.

I might put up a few small pieces for sale soon that I have made/in the process of making. Thank you for your patience and support, the 'House of Slater' is coming!

Cerise

This is the dress I made for my Textiles A Level exam, the dress itself took 7 hours to make and individually the flowers took around 15 minutes. Cerise cotton twill tailoring, with bias binding edge finishing. Attached to ribbon that is draped over the dress and tied up into a bow at the back are handmade blue paper Origami Lotus flowers.
