RETURN OF THE BACKPACK

Another new Topshop purchase guys, yes another one.

I bought this gorgeous leather backpack a few days ago (I know, another leather piece, I'm so kinky!) and I haven't been so exited or happy about a bag.

This backpack originally came out in May, I saw it numerous times in store and was debating whether or not to buy it. Well I decided not to buy it, decided to be 'good' and not buy another bag. I was unsure because I hadn't used a backpack since school and those were horrible Nike/Addias backpacks, totally lacking in style! Well did I regret that decision not to buy it then and there! After seeing a friend with it I was like "I must have it.. NOW", went back to the store and it was completely sold out in-store and online.

I vowed to get my hands on it at some point, scouring eBay and patiently waiting to see if it would ever come back into stock. This week it did and I rushed into Topshop to get one, I'm so happy I did! It's the perfect backpack; black, leather and not too small or not too big.. it's the perfect size.

It will be perfect over the summer, can take it anywhere.. shopping, to the beach, to the park ect. It will be great when I return to University in September too, as any fashion student knows we have to carry a lot on a daily basis, this bag should be sufficient enough whilst looking oh so stylish!

Practicality and style all rolled into one, a rarity these days.

THE BRISTOL ADVENTURE

Today I went on a little adventure, today I visited Bristol for the first time.

I decided to go to Bristol for research for my new project which I will be blogging about this week, as a starting point for my research I went to Bristol Aquarium. Ive never been to an aqaurium before and I'm so happy I have now, it was utterly inspiring and visually stunning. 

I got up close to all different species of fish, underwater creatures and plant life such as coral and seaweed (doesn't sound that interesting, but trust me it was). I was stunned at the beauty of the jellyfish on display, I could see every little detail, the way they moved through the water was enchanting. I saw small sharks, countless varieties of fish and a huge octopus! That was slightly scary, even though inches of reinforced glass stood between us.

After my research I went exploring, got completely lost and I loved it. When youre lost, you dont know what you will find or who. I found some great shops, especially some vintage shops where I bought myself a  (very) early birthday present.

A gold necklace, which looks like a snake wrapping itself around your neck, I absolutely love it!

I found the Cabot Circus shopping mall that I had read about, it was huge, more impressive than St Davids in Cardiff, because it had a huge domed glass roof and it had a Harvey Nichols (so much I wanted, so little I could actually afford).

It was a great day, my feet are absolutely killing me now though, it was struggle walking back to the train station! This little adventure was great, i really should go out and explore other cities i havent been to yet. Trips to unknown places are always so inspiring and I cant wait for the next one.. I'm thinking maybe Birmingham?

LITTLE GOLDEN TREATS

It's been a good week, I handed in my 'Domestic Space' project and been writing my Statement of Intent for my new project, so as you can probably guess I've had some well deserved time out. College has ben great this week, nobody is stressed out anymore.. we have just been able to have fun and sit out in the sun on long lunch breaks.. utter bliss!

So on Thursday after college I went shopping with my friend Jessica, I had birthday money just burning a hole in my pocket! To be honest I didn't really see anything I really wanted, think I'm going to wait a little bit longer for all the spring/summer clothes to come into store. But what I did buy was some cute accessories!

This gold chain on a beige leather strap bracelet was from Primark, when I saw it I just had to have it! Not to sound snobbish here but it doesn't look like a bracelet from Primark, more of a Topshop look and feel to it. It was only £2.50, which is amazing.. so next time I go there I'm going to get a couple more so I can layer them up.

I also got this stunning gold and crystal butterfly hair claw clip, normally I would just pass it over as being too girly for me, but I don't know there is just something about it that screamed BUY ME! So I did and at £3 it was a total bargain! I wore it yesterday and got loads of compliments on it, it's really good quality metal and quite heavy to wear in your hair!
