MARCH IN PICTURES

It's been such a busy month and it's gone by so quickly, where has all the time gone!?

Well this month saw me turn another year older, older but not much wiser! I had a great birthday, one of my old school friends came up to Cardiff and everyone came out for one of the best nights out I've ever had.. and certainly one of the best birthdays I've ever had.

Of course my outfit was my main priority, I searched high and low for the perfect piece. I finally found it on ASOS.. this gorgeous sheer black shirt with cut-out shoulders, a harness on the back and a super low hemline. Everybody loved it, I loved it and I felt great that night. I wore it with Criminal Damage black skinnies and my double stacked Creepers, I needed the extra height.. all the girls were in heels!

I've also been working non-stop this month, I'm about halfway through my project and it's going really well so far. I have my final design, I've been busy drafting the patterns and making the toiles. Just today I made the final toile for my headpiece/head covering, I love it.. it's a but creepy but once it's covered in chiffon ruffles it will be beautiful. Oh yeah, I'm working with chiffon again.. bring on more days constantly melting the edges with a candle, fun times!

To finish off the month Cardiff and most of the UK basked in an unexpected but much appreciated heat wave, with temperatures reaching 20 degrees here it was definitely vest and sunglasses weather. Everyday it was sunny I was outside, I didn't want to waste a single minute of it because I know we won't get weather like it for a while! So I went shopping, I went to the park and went to the pub and drank outside which was amazing considering it's March. It was a taste of summer!

It's been a good month, busy but good.. I'll try to blog more next month!

ASOS COLLECTION A/W 2010

Inevitably the Summer is coming to the end and now Autumn is almost upon us we must start planning our new season wardrobes! This Autumn/Winter season I am determined to stay warm in a fashionable way.. no more bulky layers, mismatched knitwear (I can't stand it when my scarf and gloves don't match!) and unflattering outerwear.

I have started to put together a 'to buy' list for this season and one of the collection that I looked at was the ASOS COLLECTION, I adore the fur and knitwear.. two of the greatest things about the cold weather: the chance to wear two of my favorite fabrics.

Anyway, these are my personal favorites and will hopefully be in my closet in the following months!

These are fabulous, they would add touch of English countryside aristocratic glamour to any outfit.

This headband is super cute and would definitely keep my ears warm, also this plain grey marl hoody is perfect for layering on those lazy days.
I love these vintage inspired satchels, can't decide what color to buy, so I might have to buy both!

Get Sexy

Can you wear high leg boots and cutouts without looking trashy?

Yes, you can!

This dress is perfect for a night out but also for an office party, and is a new silhouette this season with the strategic cutouts on the side. The boots add a little 'naughtiness' to the outfit, they are a big trend this Autumn/Winter. They are an investment buy as you can wear them with jeans, skirts ect. and can wear year after year.

This week's hottest item is this summery floral print skirt from ASOS.com.

Not only perfect for the day but can also be dressed up at night to ready hit the clubs, this skirt is multi-seasonal as you can wear it in the summer with a pair of oh so trendy gladiator sandals or wear it in the autumn with some tights and knee high boots.

It's available here for only £35 and is available from a size 6 to 18.

Back To The 80's

It's true, 80's fashion is back with a bang, but this time round is much more fashionable and easy to wear! From exaggerated shoulders from Balmain to a collection of colorful wayfarers from Oakley, it's official that 2009 is going back to the 80's

It's so easy to achieve the 80's look from the High Street: one-shouldered, bright block colors and oversized are the hey to this trend. Brightly colored metallic leggings and retro high-tops have also made a come-back, so there is something for everyone wanting to try out this look.

This outfit is captures the spirit of the 80's discos, but with a modern twist

Disco Ball Vest. £20. Topshop
Sequin Leggings. £40. Topshop
Heeled Gladiators. £40. ASOS

Shoe Candy

Stereotypically, women are obsessed with shoes (particularly high heels), while this may not apply to all women it does to the majority of the population. After going shopping with a close female friend this past week I can certainly see the reason behind the obsession!

You don't need to pay a hefty price for a pair of designer shoes, the British high street has so many stunning shoes with a designer influence on the design at a fraction of the cost. These are my favourites that I have found all under £100.

Gold Cage Detail Sandals. £70. asos.com
Contrast Snakeskin. £64. asos.com
Black High Leg Gladiator. £77. asos.com

Black & Blue

Heres a simple but sexy day out/shopping outfit I have put together. I've used two strong colors that work so well with each other, the cobalt blue and black. The outfit itself is quite simple so i wanted to add some color with the bag and ring.

Bright electric/cobalt blue is very 'in' this season and also is mock crock accessories, so the bag is one of the hottest items for this season on the High Street.

This outfit could also work for a sexy night-time look, just change the jeans for a skirt or a pair of black 'going-out' shorts.

Mock-Croc Square Bag, £22.00 - www.Topshop.com
Studded Flare Jeans, £22.00 - www.Lipsy..co.uk
Wrap Cardigan, £45.00 - www.Lipsy.co.uk
Platform Court Shoe, £60.00 - www.asos.com

In Lady Gaga's Wardrobe..

Lady GaGa was spotted at the airport recently with a gorgeous silk scarf hanging out of her handbag. With large shiny block colors this is very much her (amazing) style.

It's from ASOS and is only £20! This is a great chance to get a piece of celebrity fashion but at a high street price.

Get it before it goes!
